Why is Easter so early?

Well, let me tell you what our newspaper told us - This is quite interesting: "Easter can be as early as March 22 (not since 1818; not again until 2285) and as late as April 25 (not since 1943; not again until 2038)." WHY? "The date of Easter shifts each year so that it falls in the same season and phase of the moon that occurred at Christ's resurrection. " It turns out that Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon on or following the vernal equinox (the first day of spring). There is also more discussed about how the moon determines when Easter will occur. You can do a Google search for "Easter date formula" and you will find all sorts of formulas that are used to determine the date of Easter.
