EJ LOVED THE OCEAN
EJ took the ocean rather quickly. He loved to get splashed by the waves, but it wasn't until a few days later that he actually "rode" his first wave. It happened by accident. Once he realized how much fun it was, he kept doing it over and over again. Here are the first photos of EJ's reaction.
ALISON LOVED THE BEACH
Ali was definitely intimidated by the ocean. We eventually coerced her into getting her feet wet, but it wasn't her cup of tea. She would much rather dig and dig in the sand. In fact, at one point she had to go pee really bad and she absolutely refused to go in the ocean. Okay, who doesn't go in the ocean? LOL! She decided she would much rather plop her buns in the sand and pee on the beach.

It seems this young one was put off from the beginning by his overzealous mother. Due to my excitement, as soon as we got to the water, I made sure Evan's little feet were placed in the very cold Gulf of Mexico. From that point on, he was not thrilled with the water OR the sand. Finally, on the last day (literally we were on our way out of Galveston to head home), the kid walked on the beach. Well, with shoes on.
