Another surgery
Jacki had a trach put in today and everything went well. Her heart rate is a bit high (in the 130s) and they'd like it below 120 so they are taking the necessary measures to help her relax. She is very restless right now. The feeding tube will go in tomorrow. We are still having trouble with friends/family respecting our wishes (and those of the nurses) about visiting Jacki. She does NOT need any extra stimulation right now. All these procedures are elevating her heart rate enough. It's important to note that the people who are helping her right now are the doctors and nurses. None of us can do anything for Jacki. She will need us when she goes to neuro rehab. Until then, please, please, please be patient with us and with Jacki. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

That is wonderful that Jacki is starting to get better day by day (enough for the doctors to help her more.) Jacki is a very lucky girl to have so many friends and family who love her..
I am still praying over Jacki!
