There are no words (Please CNN, don't me mad I'm using your photo on my blog) |
On this day, 2000+ years ago, a man laid down his life for me, for you, for the future of mankind. My heart is filled with sorrow for what He had to go through (ridicule, mocking, torture), yet joy because of His sacrifice and what it symbolizes (love without boundaries and hope for Christianity). Here we are with a new {Pope}, who has devoted his life to poverty, and already his symbols are unlike the Catholic leaders of the past. It is also this man who restores my hope for my future, for my children's future. Yesterday, he washed the feet of two girls in a juvenile detention center. One is a Muslim. The world NEEDS this man to show us what we MUST do and how to love our neighbor...GOD's second most important commandment.
This Easter, my heart overflows with exactly what GOD wants us to feel. Love. Hope. Faith. Thank you, GOD, for allowing {Pope Francis} to lead our church at a time when we desperately need an Earthly example of what Jesus did all those years ago.
