We enjoyed Valentine's day together this year at home. It was a relaxing day where Jay made heart-shaped pancakes with sausage for breakfast, myself and the kids napped in the p.m. while Jay & EJ played Rock Band, and then Alison helped me make dinner. We had pan-seared filet mignon with a red wine sauce, hericot vert (green beans), baked potatoes, spinach salad and red velvet cake with cream cheese icing for dessert. YUMMY!
Alison was so sad she didn't get a Valentine's day card from anyone, so Jay wrote her a little love note and signed it "Your Prince." That made her day! She is always fighting with me by saying, "Daddy is MY Prince!" Then she wanted to know why Mommy didn't get her a card. Heck, I am the one who bought her chocolates!
