Are you ready for some football?!?

2013 Jr. Pee Wee cheerleaders
Let me be honest: We were NOT ready for some football!  In fact, we are still adjusting to what is temporarily dictating our lives.  No one mentioned how time intensive this sport is.
There I just told you so now you can never say no one ever told you!  It's been such an adjustment and I feel like we haven't hit our stride yet.  Much of this is not our fault though.  The team is brand new and communication stinks!  Also, it's a team that the neighboring towns did NOT want started.  Against their protests, here we are going strong and playing hard!
GO PATRIOTS!

Alison absolutely LOVES cheer leading.  She practices the cheers, splits, and counts at home all the time!  In this collage, she is cheering at the stadium and the first game of the season. The whole team has come a long way in such a short amount of time.  At summer camp, it didn't look too good, but they had never met.  Now that they are comfortable with one another, they have come together well!

We tried to prepare EJ how much work he'd be doing when he told us he wanted to play football this year.  After the first nine days straight of practice, he was about ready to throw in the towel.  There has been only a few times where he said he didn't want to go to practice, but I've learned he is a lot like me.  He'll complain about "gittin' it done", but when he is around his friends his mood changes.  Although he'll downplay how well he did at a game or the fact that he's second string nose tackle, we couldn't be prouder of him.  The boy has never worked harder or put as much effort into anything in his life and he is blowing us away.  Now if he could only work on that self-esteem (another negative quality he picked up from his Mom)...
