For this newbie hiker, sometimes finding the destination is easier when you ask directions. The goal for this hike was to get to the hidden rock bridge. Although the sights along the way are absolutely stunning (and it's pretty cool to see the most awesome snorkeling beach from way above), it's was difficult to just depend on fellow bloggers. As always on hikes around Oahu, you always come across other people that are attempting to reach the same place. For my friend and I, we didn't want to initially follow the four young girls down a steep, rocky ridge towards the ocean. We decided to walk back the way we came and would have been completely happy watching the humpback whales a little longer, but we knew we were SO close to rock bridge. Lucky for us, a few other hikers were walking back up from wwaayy down below and they were happy to tell us which direction to go.
Looking down towards the ever fierce, unforgiving ocean was intimidating.

At one point I joked about this being the hidden rock bridge just in case we never did find the real one!

| The hidden rock bridge looks a little too unstable to pose on |
This is also called the toilet bowl since it seems like the ocean is flushing in and out

| There are always rock memorials on hikes & I do not touch them! No bad mojo here! |
Walking back our view was of Koko head crater and the rain over it.
Yep, we got cooled down quickly on the way back to the car.
