Swimming has become one of our biggest summer activities because our neighborhood pool opened this year! It literally takes us two minutes to walk to it! Here the kids are ready to swim with their friends, Zak & Taylor. This was the last time they saw them before they moved to L.A. this summer. They were also the first friends they had when we moved here. It's always sad to say goodbye...
Waiting for adult swim to end...
The girls having a great time!
Even though it's nice to have the kids home all summer, everyone still needs a break (especially Mommy). EJ and Alison went to Vacation Bible School last week. They seemed to enjoy learning about Jesus through various activities: crafts, Bible verses, Skits, music.
EJ was thrilled to have two friends, Erik & Todd, in his group
For the first few mintues, Alison wasn't happy about going to VBS. As soon as she noticed friends from preschool, she started having fun.
The heat has been Texas sized here! Selling lemonade sounded like a great way for the kids to earn some money while quenching the thirst of our neighbors. So here they are with all their goodies hoping to raise money for Erik's church, which they did. They brought in just over $13 for only an hour's worth of work! Evan was recruited to help with sales because of his cuteness factor. The boys claim it worked! Alison was the most dedicated worker and would've stayed out longer if I hadn't tired of sitting out in the heat with them!
