Southern Maryland. Have you heard of it? We never did either until we had to move there. All I knew was that it was located about an hour south of both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Cool. Those are two big cities with lots to do. An hour (or more) isn't that bad so we'll go often. Yeah, we had intentions of going way more thanwe really did. Don't get me wrong, we did see alot of those cities, but sometimes you just don't want to deal with the traffic. And, let's face it, Southern Maryland had stuff to do. We were located right in between both the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay. Essentially, we were now near beaches! There were also many stores and restaurants located in SOMD, so it'd be weeks before I felt like I HAD to "get outta the county." Our closest mall was 40 minutes away. OUCH!
We really enjoyed our time in Maryland. We met amazing new friends, had new experiences and loved being on the East coast again. Although this was a place that was chosen for us, GOD knew it'd be perfect for our family. Because of that, Southern Maryland, you are forever etched in our hearts as one of THE best places we've lived.
