Moving

Moving is synonomous with my husband's job whether we like it or not.  Recently, it was our turn to move.  We left Maryland to head to Hawaii at the end of November.  That is NOT a typing error...we now live in Hawaii!  Although moving to Hawaii has NEVER been on our list of possible "places we could move", here we are.  If I've learned anything over the years, it's expect the unexpected!! 

After months of stress, especially due to getting the cats to Hawaii (this rabies free state makes you jump through hoops to get your furry loved ones here.  You can read all about it HERE). Since we were only given 4 1/2 months notice to get here, our cats are currently in quarantine.  We are allowed to visit them on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday on certain hours.  They are quite happy to see us and I have a difficult time leaving them.  They'll be released from "kitty prison" on the 21st.  We'll be reunited for Christmas!! 

 Today we signed a lease for a great house overlooking the east side of the island.  It is a house that looks like it'll fit all 14,000+ pounds of our stuff once it arrives and the local, public schools are good.  We feel so blessed to have been this lucky with the move.  Overall, it's been an easy transition.  All our photos can be seen on facebook or visit THIS LINK to see some of the awesomeness that is Hawaii!!!
