3rd Annual Kilpatrick Beer Tasting!

A few years, Jay & I were at Jungle Jim's and a plan was hatched...a beer tasting one!

For the last three years, we've held a beer tasting during Oktoberfest.  It's an informal get together where our nearest and dearest friends join us to taste beers from different categories. 

 The weather has agreed with us each year so we'll gather outside to enjoy the weather, each other's company and some good (and not so good) beers.  Each adult is given a description of the beers they are tasting and a score sheet.  The scoring is optional, but everyone seems to enjoy leaving some pretty funny comments!  At our very first tasting, a friend recommended that we make up t-shirts with the best comments from year's past.  We just may have to do that to remember those that have made us laugh and left the best notes! 

 When the tasting is done, there is ALWAYS plenty of beer left to drink.  Usually, it's dinnertime so we'll enjoy a few different kinds of chili, sandwiches, veggie tray, cornbread, and a yummy tray of cookies. 

Although the tasting has an end time, no one ever leaves at that time and we are okay with that.  It makes us happy to know we threw a good party!
